This section will contain information regarding local resources--free and commercial that are available for assisting local urban gardeners. We expect it to grow into one of our larger sections soon.
The best local resources for your garden are your neighbors. For example, if you need lumber and other materials to build your garden, just get in your vehicle and drive around your Garland neighborhood on Mondays and Tuesdays. These are the days when residents set out unwanted items curbside to be picked up by our environmental services on Wednesday.
You'll be surprised at what some people throw away.
